Bar Manager

If you enjoy meeting new people in a usually vibrant atmosphere you may want to consider a career as a Bar Manager. Even though there are fun elements to the job there are also many responsibilities that you will be tasked with. Bar Managers generally manage other employees and ensure that they follow the protocols established by the bar owners. They are also responsible for ensuring that there is enough stock at any one time by making sure that proper inventory is taken. One of the most important duties that a Bar Manager has is making sure that personnel are well-managed so that the bar during a particular shift runs smoothly. This means having to figure out how to manage your human resources including things like scheduling issues. You will also be expected to keep the alcohol license of the bar up-to-date and also make sure that the rules of serving alcohol are strictly followed.
