Swansea Train Station
High St, Swansea SA1 1NU, United Kingdom

From here, there are two easy ways to get to Mercure Swansea Hotel. You either board the number 34 bus at the High Street Station, which takes 13 minutes to National West Bank, then walk for just 3 minutes. Or, take a number 4 metro bus also at High Street Station for 16 minutes to Martin Street and walk for about 21 minutes. It all depends on your preference! Alternatively, it will take 9 minutes in a taxi for the 3½ mile journey.

Among our top recommendations include:

Because Swansea is close to popular destinations such as Tenby, Brecon Beacons National Park, and the Botanical Gardens, it’s easy to find a place to stay for a good price. So, if you want to rotate between your course and exploring the stunning views, we’d recommend staying at the Ibis or Travelodge Swansea Hotels. Not only are they budget-friendly, but they also provide free onsite parking. You can find other great nearby hotels here.

Food
After a day of learning, a tasty meal at a great place is all you need. You can enjoy perfectly cooked chicken, lamb, prawn, or even vegetables at Rane Bengal. And it’s only a 1.2 mile distance that’ll take you 25 minutes to walk via Martin Street.

For a tasty Thai takeaway, Thai Chef Food Truck has got you covered. You can choose to travel there via public transport or on foot. If you travel by bus, board a number 34 at Castle Court to Morfa Retail Park. From there, it’s just a 4-minute walk to your destination. Should you fancy a walk, it’s going to take you 29 minutes to get to the restaurant via Phoenix Way.

Say it’s a bit chilly, and all you want is a steaming cup of hot coffee—there’s a stunning nearby location called Coffee Shed. To get there, head south toward Phoenix Way, turn left onto Phoenix Way, then turn right onto Castel Cl. Your destination will be on your right, and it only takes around 6 minutes to get there.

If you’re looking for an excellent bar to get your buzz going, we recommend Champion Brewers. It’s located at Morriston, Swansea SA6 8BQ, a 23 minutes walking distance.
